IN

As you know, we've been trying to get our daughter back into the school she was in before we left. The principal had told us that there was a spot open, but she did not know if anyone was on the waiting list ahead of us. The school secretary was suppose to be back on September 1, to process the application from the school's standpoint. However, she was not back. The principal said she would try to call the council and see what she could do. She called that afternoon and said there was a 4 week back log and that the only way they could communicate with the council was through email.

So, we had resolved that it would be at least 4 more weeks before we would know anything. The day before school started, the school had tried again, and they gave us the devastating news that the spot that had been open had been given to someone else by the council without consulting the school. However, the secretary had noticed that one student on her list had possibly transferred to another school, and the council had not updated the list. In order to know if the student had transferred, she needed to contact the admissions director at that school. Well, the admissions director was on vacation until the first day of school, September 3. So, the school secretary told us she would call as soon as she knew something.

Just before lunch, we received a call saying that indeed a spot was open and to bring our daughter to school. She had only missed about a half day of school. We are very thankful God worked it out.
